Christy received her Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Philosophy and Dance from Middle Tennessee State University, and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Tennessee State University. She has done continuing education in Maitland technique, craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, dance therapy, and taping techniques. Her treatment focus is on therapeutic exercise and manual therapy. She treats a variety of post-surgical and chronic
orthopedic conditions including low back, neck, hip, shoulder, and knee pain, and in people of all ages and backgrounds. Specializing in dance medicine and foot and ankle rehab Christy works with the dancers of Nashville Ballet and other area dance organizations.
Christy also performs and helps produce dance and aerial arts shows with her circus company, Suspended Gravity, and teaches aerial fitness classes. She enjoys vegetarian cooking, studying nutrition and wellness, music, and gardening.
Christy's goal as a physical therapist is to provide her patients with care and expertise that will improve their quality of life and physical well-being by taking into account the whole person. Through hands-on manual therapy, education, and personalized exercise programs, she strives to give her patients the confidence and tools to reach their full rehabilitative potential.
